Thanks.

Bonnie- It was the cutest thing ever. Especially the little ones. Yes, it was students dressed up in costmes or formal wear from their native cultures.

Onetallmomma- something tells me this croud won't be as comfortable together as your crowd was with your sis. They will need to be constantly entertained.

SWFM- always nice to hear from you!
Thanks.Babaloohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14171737720143410715noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23838016.post-1160148929410726012006-10-06T08:35:00.000-07:002006-10-06T08:35:00.000-07:00Always lots doing, you do a fantastic job.Always lots doing, you do a fantastic job.socialworker/frustrated momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10352262399235382201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23838016.post-1160143393994930672006-10-06T07:03:00.000-07:002006-10-06T07:03:00.000-07:00I dont like baby shower games, I requested there t...I dont like baby shower games, I requested there to be none at both of mine!! Could be because I get super competitive and accuse people of cheating(true story..thing I'll blog about that tomorrow!).

Anyway, here's some ideas:

Buy about 8-10 different kinds of baby food. Take off the labels and pass them around for people to guess what they are. DO NOT TAKE OFF THE LIDS!! Let the mom take them home to use for the baby!! Buy some newborn diapers and about 6-10 candybars. Smash up a candy bar in each diaper and have people smell the "dirty" diaper to guess what kind of candy bar it is. Then let the new mom take home the remaining diapers.

As for prizes.. make sure you buy things for the new mom. Like bottles, breast pads, binkies, diapers, burpclothes, bibs..whatever and when the person wins you give them the prize and then they give it back to the new mom.

Got it? Good!Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11992804517779203952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23838016.post-1160143369609688062006-10-06T07:02:00.000-07:002006-10-06T07:02:00.000-07:00I dont like baby shower games, I requested there t...I dont like baby shower games, I requested there to be none at both of mine!! No games other then passing a sheet of paper around where everyone guessed date of birth, sex and weight. The eating, chatting and gift opening took up 3 hours!

Hope you feel better soon and that it stops raining!Ashley Lasburyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03115290104618343733noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23838016.post-1160073736919611822006-10-05T11:42:00.000-07:002006-10-05T11:42:00.000-07:00what is a cultural fashion show? Sorry I have to ask so I can start preparing for the day when I have to whip something up for my daughter.

As for soccer-- so much drama!!!Bonnie Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16458330942991401181noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23838016.post-1160070467676566592006-10-05T10:47:00.000-07:002006-10-05T10:47:00.000-07:00Let's see baby shower games. Everytime someone says the word baby the person who heard them gets to take the necklace from them at the end of the shower the person with the most wins a little present.

Baby bingo is popular too, not sure how it is played though. Good luck and sorry about the crappy period!Valeriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04814430990899836829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23838016.post-1160066665945175032006-10-05T09:44:00.000-07:002006-10-05T09:44:00.000-07:00Jennifer- you have lived the dream my friend!Z-NOO...Jennifer- you have lived the dream my friend!

Z-NOOOOOOOOOOO WAY are we like that. Our mission is to get rid of that behavior. It is just funny how those parents "justify" themselves...it would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad.

Jodi- come and get it (the rain) I certainly have no use for it right now. Thanks for the ideas.Babaloohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14171737720143410715noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23838016.post-1160063412223558222006-10-05T08:50:00.000-07:002006-10-05T08:50:00.000-07:00Oh the drama. Wwy are those stupid coaches trying to take out their playing sports fantasies on their children? huh, why? that's just dumb.

And I love the rain. We haven't got much up here, why are you getting it all? Huh, why???!?!?!

Baby shower games. Hate them. Loathe me. But, let's see. There's the ever popular trying to diaper a doll while wearing a blindfold and gloves. Then you have the game where you wrap a little door prize present up about 15 times, play music and when the music stops whoever has the present unwraps one layer and so on until the person who gets to the no more wrapping paper and gets to keep the gift. *yawn* The only other one that I can think of is putting a whole bunch of baby pins or those little fake baby bottles in a clear container and who ever guesses the closet to how many are actually in there wins a prize.

SOrry, I'm not much help. I really really hate baby shower games! I know you can download some online, maybe you should try that?!?! :)Pollyannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13746802517039945488noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23838016.post-1160056406115184012006-10-05T06:53:00.000-07:002006-10-05T06:53:00.000-07:00I never did understand how into it the soccer coac...I never did understand how into it the soccer coaches, and parents got. I have seen parents of 6 year olds screaming at the kids. I have seen kids in tears. I just don't get it. But that is not you right?
